10 day Morocco Desert Trip From Casablanca Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Casablanca:
10 day Morocco Desert Trip From Casablanca from Casablanca Airport today. Your driver/guide will greet you and accompany you to your accommodation (depending on time of arrival). overnight staying in Hotel.
Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Fes:
This morning, we may see the tourist attractions in Casablanca that we couldn’t see on Day 1. After lunch, we’ll drive to Meknes, an ancient imperial city surrounded by one of Morocco’s most important wine districts.
We will travel to the ancient Roman remains of Volubilis after a quick halt in Meknes. You will have the opportunity to explore the ruins and mosaics on your own or with the assistance of a local guide for a more immersive experience. Next, we’ll go to Fes and spend the night in a riad/hotel.
Day 3: Exploring Fes:
Today will be spent exploring Fes, Morocco’s spiritual capital. This will include excursions to the Medieval Medina, the Nejjarine Fountain, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque (external visits only).
You will be given the option of having lunch at a traditional restaurant in Medina, followed by a late afternoon excursion to the souks and Fes Jdid (New Fes) before being taken to your accommodation.
Day 4: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Rissani - Merzouga:
Today, after breakfast, we’ll drive to Ifrane. Ifrane is renowned as ‘the Switzerland of Morocco’. We will proceed to Midelt before passing across the Ziz Valley to Erfoud. Erfoud is well-known for its fossil products. It is also possible to stop and learn more about the location and fossils.
From Erfoud, we travel to Rissani, an old market town, to visit its souk. The adventure concludes tonight at Merzouga, where we rest in a motel on the outskirts of the desert dunes.
Day 5: Tour Around Erg Chebbi Desert & Camel Trekking:
After breakfast today, we’ll drive to a checkpoint in the Merzouga desert. Upon arrival there, we’ll trade in our 4×4 for camels (optional). Then lead by an experienced camel guide, and explore the region of Erg Chebbi. It’ll take around 90 minutes to reach the campsite. Once there, we’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset over the dunes. Then after dark, This night will be spent in traditional Berber tents under the desert sky.
Day 6: Merzouga Rissani Market Erfoud Todra Gorges Dades Gorges:
Today we will watch the sunrise in the Merzouga desert before riding camels back to the settlement. Following breakfast and a quick wash, we go to Rissani, then to the Tinghir and Todra gorges. It is Morocco’s tallest and narrowest canyon. Following lunch in the gorge, we’ll travel through the Dades Valley, stopping to see the rock formations known as monkey toes. We spend the night at Dades Valley and have supper and breakfast.
Day 7: Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas - Marrakech:
Today our private Moroccan trip continues traveling towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate, nicknamed “the Hollywood of Africa”. We may go to a local film studio and a kasbah while we are here. Afterward, we travel to Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s biggest Kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We proceed over the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, where we stay in a traditional riad.
Day 8: Exploring Marrakech:
We will tour Marrakech, Morocco’s “red city,” after breakfast. We will go to the most essential places. The guided tour of Marrakech includes stops at the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace. We will conduct a free presentation in the afternoon. This night, we stayed in a typical riad in the medina.
Day 9: Marrakech - Casablanca :
This morning, you may buy souvenirs (optional) and enjoy the last moments of your Casablanca Sahara Desert Tours before we drive by Settat to Casablanca for the final night of your Casablanca Sahara Desert Tours. Breakfast and at the hotel.
Day 10: Casablanca airport :
